A wise man once said , “After nourishment shelter and companionship ,stories are the things we need the most in the world .It is the stories that give wings to our imagination .Since time immemorial, storytelling has been an integral part of our childhood. To keep the tradition going and to incite curiosity and the love for listening to stories, a story telling session in pre-primary wing was held at Excellia School on 16th April ,2019.A story named “The monkey and a cap seller” was presented before the students by our pre-primary teachers .The moral of the story was that ‘There is always a way out for every difficult situations’
The students enjoyed the session to the core and kept asking for more.
The world is growing at a past from every facet of life. The society, if it provides flowers then also thorns come attached. Children being the blooming buds of the society are more likely to be pricked by those thorns that come in the face of intruders and people who are a curse to the society. Keeping all these things in mind Excellia School organized a workshop on “Good Touch, Bad Touch” on April 12, 2019 Friday. It was carried out in two slots:-One for pre-primary wing and other for middle and senior wing .They were showcased a movie related to the theme first and then were explained about the concept.
Excellia School organized an Art Of Living Workshop on 11th April’19 (Thursday). It was attended by the Director Mr.Asheesh Pathak and the Principal Ms. Sonia Vardhan along with the staff members.A brief introduction of Art Of Living organization was given by Ms. Divya Tripathi.She explained that how stress in our day-to day life is affecting not only our body but the mind to a great extent. She explained in short how the techniques from Art Of Living can be helpful in combating the stress. The workshop was concluded by a short meditative session followed by ‘OM CHANTING’.
Excellia School conducted an orientation day program on 3rd April 2019 for the parents seeking new admission for their ward s in the new academic session. The intention was to acquaint with all the academic implementation throughout the year.
The Principal Ms.Sonia Vardhan provided an insight to the new parents to ward off all the apprehension that they might feel and admission related anxieties.
The parents were convinced with all the points discussed by the principal .The queries were resolved convincingly by her during conclusion of the orientation proceeded by the teacher introduction.
The new session brings lot of joy and gaiety to the students. The new dress, bags and books are the things they look with a thought of new beginning, hopes and aspirations.
And so did the teachers of Excellia School decide to bring about the feel of warmth and welcome by conducting morning assembly for them on 4th April, 2019.The Principal addressed the children and wished them well for their new innings. The students felt motivated and thanked the Principal post which all the teachers introduced themselves to the students.
Excellia School added another feather to it’s hat by bagging the award for being The Most Innovative CBSE School for Quality Education in Lucknow . The award that given by APS Research & Process Evaluate on 18th January 2019 in Goa. The award was presented by veteran actor Govinda to the recipients Director Mr. Asheesh Pathak and Principal Mrs. Sonia Vardhan.
“Graduation is only a concept. In real life every day you graduate. Graduation is a process that goes on until the last day of your life. If you grasp that, you’ll make a difference.”
Graduation Day is a wonderful way to end a school year. To make it .memorable, Excellia School organised Graduation day ceremony for the young and enthusiastic learners of pre-primary on 16th March 2019. The occasion was graced by Mr. D S Pathak, chairman of the school, Director Mr. Asheesh Pathak, Principal Ms Sonia Vardhan and General Manager Mr. Shekhar Varshney. The program commenced by lamp lighting the students presented Saraswati Vandana to evoke the blessings of Goddess Saraswati.
After this the students presented a melodious song presentation that left everyone spell bound which was followed by students presenting self-introduction. Students of class nursery presented an enthralling dance performance and mesmerised everyone which was again followed by students of KG presenting self-introduction. The Director Mr. Asheesh Pathak presented a speech in front of everyone and instilled a few words to imbibe the feeling of self-motivation in the children.
The concluding ceremony with a foot tapping numbers by the school rock band left everyone asking for more. The students were distributed report cards from their respective classes with a box of snack box to mark their last academic day of the session on a happy note.
A picnic may well be metaphor for life. Kalindi Park on 23rd February, 2019 .The picnic began with the kids clapping and singing songs in the bus. They played games, danced, sang and had their favorite’s snacks on the lush green lawns of the park. The little ones thoroughly enjoyed the day and their excitement thoroughly enjoyed the day and their excitement continued even after they returned from picnic.

It is important that learning is presented to every child in an enjoyable and fun way. There should be a variety of fun activities through which children absorb information easily. We at Excellia just aim to do that. Fun time section consists of fun activities and demonstrates that learning can be as easy as play. The objective of these activities is to develop enthusiasm in the mind of the learner, while instilling a love for learning in the pre-school and elementary school children.
There are number of such fun activities such as:- Free play – This includes playing with toys and clay swing time, as they are definitely fun for the entire class, and it is a part of happy childhood. This not only incorporates ways and methods to improve Kid’s creativity, but also improves awareness and motor skills.
Animated Movies and Storytelling for Kids- This not only improves and increases the vocabulary but also naturally builds up their fluency.
Pool Party – One can’t have more fun than playing with water on a hot day in a splash pool! Our school splash pool is a great place to lounge in and escape the heat .These water play activities in young children strengthens motor skills and builds balance.Thus there are many such fun time activities based on age, interest and skill of the child , whether it is learning of new craft, or learning to read and write or learning new skills.
Singing is the act of producing musical sounds with the voice by the use of sustained tonality, rhythm and a variety of vocal techniques. On 16th February 2019 Excellia School organized Excellian Idol in which the students gave a solo singing performance. Each child depicted great enthusiasm and gave a lively performance. Their voices filled in positive and acceptable outlet for their emotions in them. Participation is always important than winning, our winners of the junior group are: Shravya of class 1 holds the first position and Ishika of class 2 holds the second position. Our winners of the primary group are Swarna of class 4 holds the first position, Prachi of class 6 holds the second position. Also our winners of the senior group are: Shuja of class 8 holds the first position and Suyash of class 7 holds the second position.
When you want to define and meet specific objectives on a field tour, you need to choose the right kind of experience for students .on 12th February 2019 . Our students were very excited and energized as they were taken to an educational tour to Botanical Garden. The tour allowed them to acquire fresh perspectives based on their presence in an informal way.
Visit to the garden made the children come close to nature and learnt about ‘Diversity in living organisms, Plants.’
They visited the Turrassic Garden, Moss house Cactus house and Succulent House, fern house and were very happy to see the field of flowers. The garden perfectly epitomizes Mother Nature in its best form with the serene surroundings and rare species of plants and flowers. Students were very happy to know about the nature and its beautiful creations.
The guide incharge of the garden informed the students that their mandate is to conduct conservation, research and education. And they work to safeguard extinct and critically endangered species of plants.
It was an enriching experience for the students and teachers.
Excellia School organized two days Interschool taekwondo Championship on 9th and 10th February 2019 respectively.18 schools and 200 participants awarmed the event and showcased their skills. The Chairman Mr.D.S. Pathak, Director Mr.Asheesh Pathak, Principal Mrs. Sonia Vardhan welcomed the Chief Guests Mr.Parvez Khan who is a renowned International Player and trainer, Mr.Nadeem Khan who is also a known National Level Player and Referee and Mr.Rizwan, Secretary of Lucknow Taekwondo Association.
The Championship was bolstered up with energy as the participants shed their sweat and energies to bag the gold.
The conclusion of the event was done on 10th February, by conferring the medals and certificates to the contenders.
Excellia School conducted Kite flying and Kite decoration competition on 2nd February 2019.The students of classes’ I-III decked the kites beautifully with decorative materials whilst the students from Class IV-IX assembled in the ground and soared their kites high in the Sky. The Moral was to teach the students to break the bond of fear for education and soar to the pinnacle of success.
Each student enjoyed to the core and shoved each other’s kite to emerge the winner.
Strength does not come from physical capacity .It come from an indomitable will.
As the 2018-2019 School year is winding down, students and teachers of pre-primary wing enjoyed a day of fun and physical exercise at Excellia School on 30th January, 2019 Wednesday. The activities planned helped the students associate exercise with a variety of health related fitness components such as yoga, cardiovascular fitness, flexibility, muscular strength and endurance.
January 29th being a very important day for the students, teachers and parents for Prime Minister Mr.Narendra Modi interacted with students, teachers and parents about examination and its related stress.
There is a fear of disappointing a person such as a family members by underperforming in examinations and thus not being accepted into a tertiary institution .This fear on one side motivates the students to do well , but on the other side also creates a stress because of the thought of not achieving high grades or being rejected from ideal university because of low exam results.
As Education is the root for a nation to build and it depends on our youngsters as to how much they can build it. Keeping in consideration the Examination and its stress our students were also shown the live telecast of ‘Pareeksha Par Charcha’ so that they also get to know and get motivated by the interactive session held at Delhi’s Talkatora Stadium.
The session was very helpful as the students got encouragement for their exams and could understand that there is no magic wand which could remove the stress of exams.
Instead they need to control stress in an active process as they have to take steps to limit its impact.
There are a variety of events that are being done by our students. But this event differs in nature especially in terms of activities and programs. We feel lucky to be called up by the Thallassemic India Society, Lucknow on 27th January,2019 which works for the Thallassemic Patients at S.G.P.G.I MS. Our students took up the responsibility to make the patients feel special. Excellia School students performed multifarious activities like skit, band performance and dance presentation which appealed the audience and was appreciated by everyone. They were felicitated with certificates for becoming a part of the event organized by the Thallassemic India Society.
The 70th Republic Day was celebrated in all its solemnity and grandeur at Excellia School on 26th January 2019.The students and the staff saluted the National Flag and pledged themselves to upholding the honour, integrity and diversity. The Choir group presented the patriotic song “Priya Dhara yah Bharati.” The director Mr. Asheesh Pathak unfualed the tricolour that was followed by the national Anthem. The Principal Mrs. Sonia Vardhan congratulated the Staff and students on this auspicious day. The program concluded on a happy note by the distribution of sweets to the students.
National Girl Child Day is celebrated every year on 24th January as a national observance day for the girl child. This celebration was started to offer equality and honour to the girl child. Excellia School celebrated this day in a unique way. Mrs Anju Bala, Member of Parliament (Lok Sabha) graced as the chief guest. The student’s lines up their presentations beautifully .The programme started with a heart wrenching song “o richiraiiyya” which made its way into everyone’s heart. The next programme was a skit by the student’s themed “ Beti Padhao”.It was lauded by everyone. It was followed by a scintillating dance performance by the students. The performance made everyone tap their feet with excitement. Suyash G. Kumar of class VII presented a beautiful performance matching the theme of the day. The students concluded with an enthralling band performance which was appreciated by all. The Chief Guest presented forth her speech in which she spoke about women empowerment and educating girl child. She appreciated the efforts laid by the school and the teachers by providing the students in their overall development. The Director Mr. Asheesh Pathak and Principal Mrs. Sonia Vardhan presented memento to Mrs Bala as a token of gratitude for motivating the students with her presence. The event was enjoyed to the core by everyone.
Excellia School witnessed the Fancy Dress Competition for Classes I, II and III on 19th January, 2019. It was the most awaited event, as it is always a pleasure to watch the toddlers dressed up as different characters and stuttering away in their speech. The students came forward displaying their vibrant costumes house wise. The competition brought an amiable ambience and the judges retorted with their applause. It was indeed a mesmerizing event which would be etched in their memories for a very long time.
The audience wants something that entertains them and whether that entertainment is in the form of a skit or video or promo, it’s our job to deliver it to them.
Excellia School witnessed inter house Skit Competition from Classes IVth to IXth on 19th January, 2019. The members of all the four houses presented awe-inspiring themes and scintillating performances. The students gave tough competition to their competitors. Judges also had hard time to decide the winning team and pronounce the winners. It was a fun filled time for all the students when they poured in their hard work in their performances.

5th January and 6th January 2019 marked another dimension in Excellia School when the school organized 2 nd Smt.A.D.Pathak memorial open Excellia Chess Championship 2019..
Chess Enthusiasts from all corners of the city participated in the two day tournament. Participants from various age categories presented their best moves. The conclusion of the event was done on 6th January evening and the winners were declared.
The Chairman of the School Mr.D.S.Pathak vice Chairperson Mrs.Manju Pathak felicitated the winners along with chief arbiter Mr.Raizada the Director Me. Asheesh Pathak overwhelmingly thanked the participants, their coaches, parents who patiently cooperated for the smooth conduction of the event.

Special Assembly was conducted in the morning wherein the students spoke about Christmas.T he students enjoyed the gathering in the ground where Santa distributed sweets to the students. They all played carols and concluded it a fun-infused day
Christmas is a great Festival of the year and it is also known as the “Feast Day” of the Christ. It is a time to give and forgive. Celebrated everywhere as a joyous family affair, the tiny tots of Excellia School celebrated Christmas as a happy time on 21st December 2018.”We wish you a Merry Christmas” “Dashing through the Snow….” filled the air with festivity.T he delight was doubled especially as muffins were given to the children and they enjoyed dancing at the dance beats with the cute Santa caps on their head.
16th December 2018 marked an important day at excellent school when The Flying Sikh, Mr.Milkha Singh, Padma Shri, along with a galaxy of intellectuals graced the annual exhibition “Kala Utsav” and inauguration of new sports ground named after Mr.Milkha Singh present amongst the a host of dignitaries were Ultra Man Mr.Abhishek Mishra , Social worker Mr.Sachin Srivastava, School’s Founder Director Dr.M.S Tyagi, Chairman Mr.D.S Pathak, Vice chairman Mrs.Manju Pathak, Director Mr. Asheesh Pathak & Mrs. Shalini Pathak, Principal Mrs. Sonia Vardhan General manager Mr.Shekhar Varshney and advisor Mr. Praveen Pandey. Mr.Milkha Singh applauded to the effort put in by the students to take the exhibition to another level. Every class chose a different theme for the exhibition and displayed various caricatures and artifacts as per their themes. Post inaugurating the sports ground Mr.Milkha Singh addressed the students of the school with the motivational speech. Hordes of people thronged to have a glimpse of Mr.Milkha Singh.
